I have the honour to acknowledge
receipt of your letter of the 18th instant,
conveying the Governor's sanction
to
my
request to be permitted
to make a roadway through lot. No 154,
and to extend the boundary line of my
premises to the stone drain eastward ; upon the distinct understanding that this permission will not give
any legal claim to the additional grounds, or prevent
it's being put up for sale by public auction, or from being otherwise disposed of, if required.
I now
requesting you
to be good
enough to express my thanks to His Excellency
for this permission, I beg also to state my
acquiescence to the terms prescribed,
in the
